Australian Sharing Economy Awards 2018 Sharing Hub

Australian Sharing Economy Awards 2018
NOMINATIONS OPEN OCTOBER 30, 2017

As technology progresses, millions of Aussies are embracing the sharing revolution. Our aim for the inaugural 2018 Australian Sharing Economy Awards is to acknowledge those individuals and businesses who have contributed to the sharing economy in outstanding ways.

The awards will be judged by some of Australia’s most influential sharing economy leaders including Rachel Botsman – Author of What's Mine Is Yours & Who Can You Trust?,  Steve Orenstein, the founder and CEO of on demand express courier service Zoom2u; Alexis Soulopoulos, the CEO and co-founder of Australia’s leading pet-sitting network Mad Paws; Justin Hales, the co founder and CEO of Camplify, that connects RV owners with holidaymakers; and Mike Rosenbaum, co-founder and CEO of self-storage marketplace Spacer.com.au.

There are two main categories for the awards:

Sharing Economy Platform or Business of the Year Australia Sharing Hub

1. SHARING ECONOMY BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

For most outstanding sharing website, app or platform. Do you run a sharing startup or peer-to-peer marketplace business that is really kicking goals in Australia?  Or do you know of a platform that you think deserves national brand recognition and media attention?

The Sharing Economy Awards aims to recognise the leading figures at the forefront of the sector with businesses being able to enter an award for their state based on either the company’s growth, performance, community contribution, technology and innovation or to put forward an outstanding founder.

Australian Sharing Economy User of the Year 2018

2. SHARING ECONOMY USER OF THE YEAR

For outstanding consumers of the sharing economy. The awards will also include a consumer award for each state whereby users can share stories of how they have successfully used the sharing economy to make or save money. Are you (or somebody you know) doing amazing things with a sharing platform or multiple platforms? Do you have an amazing story of someone overcoming adversity with the sharing economy?

The Sharing Hub will be selecting 5 regional finalists for this category, with the National champion receiving a $5000 cash prize and each runner-up pocketing $1000.

ENTRIES OPEN OCT 30, 2017 AND CLOSE DEC 22, 2017.
